OUR STORY

Common Thread Opera is a woman-founded, women-led nonprofit opera company in Greenville, South Carolina. We believe opera belongs everywhere, and we want more people to have the chance to fall in love with it.

Never been to an opera? Fair. Between the fancy clothes, the grand theaters, and the singing in a foreign language, it can feel a little intimidating. We're here to change that! So we’re taking opera out of the theater and bringing it into our community. Come as you are. We’ll help you follow the story. And you might find that opera feels closer to home than you expected.
